Happy 15th Birthday Ally

Miss Ally turned 15 on the 15th - which means it was her Golden Birthday.  It was a pretty quiet day.  The night before, our high school football team clenched a state championship game spot, a VERY big deal in these parts.  After a 3 hour drive home from the game, she and a couple friends went to bed at the wee hours of her birthday.
She wanted a simple, family get together with oreo ice cream cake.  And, when I asked her what she wanted to eat, she said Ramen noodles.  Well, I believe in honoring birthday requests, but Ramen was a bit ridiculous.  So, we had hamburgers instead.  She had Ramen the day after. :)
She has so much going on lately with Christmas just around the corner, school, finals, and football playoffs.  And... she is all registered for driver's ed and plans to get that permit as soon as possible - she'll be eligible for it in about 2 weeks if she'll get her coursework done.  I'm looking forward to having her drive me around some, particularly on those long drives to Waco.
I pray that Ally continues to grow in her relationship with the Lord.  I pray that her commitment to Him and her passion for His word would increase.  I pray for protection from evil and from worldly influences.  May this year be the most blessed year of her life so far, and only a beginning of all the wonderful things God has in store for her.
