Everybody's Daughter

Ally and I recently read Everybody's Daughter by Michael John Sullivan.  This book is the new sequel to Sullivan's book Necessary Heartbreak.  It is an interesting book about a man and his teenage daughter who stumble through a mysterious tunnel in an old church into the Bible days.  The daughter disappears, while her father searches for her in the modern world.  It is a really different novel, balancing two plot-lines, in the modern world, the FBI accuses the father of wrong-doing as the daughter can not be found.
This is a well-written, suspenseful, twisting, plot kind of book, but Ally and I both felt like we would've liked it better if we had read the first in the series.  I always enjoy a book that has excellent biblical application.  I have to say this is an odd book, but I also like books that are out of the ordinary, unpredictable.  This book dabbles in topics of salvation, prayer, forgiveness, and sacrifice.
This book is available as an e-book for Kindle or Nook for only $3.47.  The paperback edition is best priced at Barnes & Noble for $9.85. Overall, I would recommend this book.  I'd like to read the first one.  Apparently, there will be a third and final book released in this series soon.  You can also read an excerpt from Everybody's Daughter and enter a contest the author is hosting at his website HERE.

I was given this book by B&B Media Group and Michael John Sullivan for the purposes of review only.
